Carnival is just around the corner and last year I shared with you the recipe I use for our Carnival buns.
In Norway, Carnival/shrovetide is marked with ornate birch rod and carnival buns with cream and/or jam – however you like it.
Norwegian Women’s Public Health Association has sold the traditional birch rods since 1952. Shrovetide is often linked to the annual Carnival celebrations in Norway.
I will be working at the cafe this carnival which I indeed looks forward to. Later that day my family and I will celebrate carnival like we always do.
