Dipping my toes in the water

Watching the shadows of my hair dancing in the wind on page 379. The sun is so bright my eyes are squinting. Laying on a blue and white stripped beach towel on a beach. Feeling the heat warm my bare skin.
Sat. 16 june
I am currently sitting on a chair in a kitchen painted blue, in a tiny house by the sea on an island in Norway. An island where no cars are allowed. What a calming place to be. The wind is running passed my window and the waves are striving to get onto land. The sun is peaking through the grey and white clouds. The flowers, and my hair for that matter, is dancing like crazy in the wind. Yesterday we played cards late at night after bbq’ing outside in the sun. Talking for hours. All you could hear was the sound of the birds and the waves hitting the shore. This place is called Lauer.

Reading a book by Linn Ullmann. Watching the shadows of my hair dancing in the wind on page 379. The sun is so bright my eyes are squinting. Laying on a blue and white stripped beach towel on a beach. Feeling the heat warm my bare skin. An orange butterfly just flew by. Orange and black.
The sounds of the waves whispering in my ears. It’s a different sounds from yesterday. A new way to hitting the shore. Not as aggressive. More gently. Like it lift itself up and tries to reach the top of the shore. Someone is sitting on their porch with binoculars looking out to the ocean or spying on their neighbours or someone else. My hair is still dancing on page 379 and it’s time to switch page. A bumblebee is sitting in front of me. If I want I can reach it. It’s beautiful.
Sun lotion on my pale skin. A white butterfly. Neighbours yelling at each other in a strange and friendly way telling each other to continue to work loudly on their cabins on a sunday morning.
Seaguls. Ocean. Leaves. Wind. Quiet.

We rented the cabin by Oslofjordens friluftsråd. There are so many cabins and houses to choose from. You’ll most likely find something that suits you. We rented the lighthouse where we celebrated our annual christmas party at from them.
