Norwegian waffles

It’s international waffle day today! I made waffles for lunch and here’s how I made them 🙂

I made them with different toppings, one being brown cheese. It’s a norwegian goat cheese with a sweet and strong flavor.

What you’ll need

Serves 4 plates

  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g wholemeal flour
  • 2 banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 dl milk

How to make these beauties:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients
  2. Apply a layer of butter to the waffle iron (then the waffles won’t get stuck)
  3. Bake the waffles in the waffle iron until golden
  4. Time to decorate!

My favorite toppings

/ Yogurt • raspberries /

/ Brown cheese • honey • walnuts /

/ Cottage cheese • blueberries /

Serve them in a stack or decorate them individually. Find your favorite toppings and get creative! The possibilities are endless! If you’re making waffles with someone else, let them decorate theirs! Yet another nice thing to do together.

What are you favorite toppings to add to waffles? Let me know!
