Saturday Dec. 10.
I am sitting around a table with people from all around the world. We’re listening to Christmas music, wrapping presents for the kids parents, rolling marzipan and baking Norwegian Christmas cookies. Bringing different traditions from different cultures together.
The kids were singing along to Christmas tunes and smiling from ear to ear when tasting the cookie doughs. The ladies who helped out served rice pudding and hot mulled wine. This pre-Christmas workshop event was hosted by The Norwegian Red Cross for our community to get together for the holidays.
One of the moms and I talked about the importance of having an opened mind and seeing people for who they are and not judge based on what other people say but to get educated about the world and it’s people.
Later on that day I went to work at the cafe. Seeing the moon rise above the rooftop and the Christmas lights all lit is so pretty. The snow was hanging in the air.
A beautiful day indeed.
