The English countryside was just how I thought it was going to be. Dainty, old and accurate to my imagination. Amazed by the beauty we passed as we drove through the streets and old roads of Cotswold to reach our airbnb in Winchcombe.
Such a dainty little town. Just by the canals you’ll find Green and Pleasant Tea Rooms where you can sit down with a cup of tea or an ice cream.
I have wanted to go strawberry picking for a while. On our excursion to Broadway and Bourton-on-the-water we stopped by Hayles Fruit Farm to do just that. Last time we went strawberry picking was then I was a young girl. There’s something about walking the in the midle of a field picking fresh strawberries that reminds me of the utterly feeling of presence.

From the Broadway Tower can you see deers lying beneath trees, the English countryside as far as the eye can see. It is an iconic landmark on the top of the beautiful Cotswolds escarpment. The tower has housed many unique stories. Perhaps one of the greatest collectors of books and manuscripts, Sir Thomas Phillips, housed his printing press at the tower. A series of tenant farmers has also had their homes in this tower. As well as it has been used as a country retreat for different artist. 1798 was the year it was completed and have ever since since the light day through war, farming, calm times and the light of today.
We booked a round table for one of our evenings in this little town. Would highly recommend booking a table at this restaurant if you’re ever thinking of visiting the Cotswolds. The old English pub atmosphere just in an rather elegant and nice way.
