Here are our highlights of places worth seeing in Copenhagen:
What a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. Elegant and calm. Friendly staff, clean and we could not ask for a better location to spend our nights. Close to the city center, the lakes and my favourite, the botanical garden. The spa at the hotel is also really nice.
Address: Nørre Søgade 11, 1370 Copenhagen
One where we could just sit by ourselves in the sauna. The spa is set for 10 people only which is a plus. It’s calm and with its soothing music we did not mind spending our 1 1/2 hours here. Remember to book an appointment as there will only be room for 10 people at a time.
For anyone interested in sitting down with a warm cup of the best tea in the city – make sure to visit Tante T. Their large variaty of different sorts of tea makes it a great experience alongside the friendly staff that will help you choose the flavour for you. So kind and sweet. We had the one called Pai Mu Tan Fersken and it has turned out to be one of my favourites.
We also got to try out their cool mint, earl blue and grøn citron & ingefær. All of which I would have again but especially Earl Blue as it has a hint of blue cornflower and grapefruit in it.
Address: Torvehal 2, Linnésgade 17, B2, 1364 København K
I have written about this park before but mentioning it again with the same love as before. Love seeing the flowers bloom. Spring, summer, fall or winter – this is somewhere I used to go to relax, slow everything down and just be for a second.
Address: Gothersgade 128, 1123 Copenhagen K
Not the easiest one to see when walking past it in the street but definitely a place to recommend. Simple menu, simple aesthetics and here as well: friendly staff. The name says it all.
Address: Gråbrødretorv 9, 1154 Copenhagen
Søerne / The Lakes
Whether you’re walking alongside or past Søerne at morning hours or late at night you might find yourself a bit more relaxed. Go for a walk or sit down on one of the many benches alongside the lake.
Every book you could imagine you’ll find here. A great place to sit down and read, study or work. Just right next to the library you will find the library café. You can bring what you ordered back to the library and enjoy your book.
Address: Krystalgade 15, 1172 Copenhagen
During the hours of the summer outdoor movies are shown in this park. You can sit down, read a book, visit the castles. It is beautiful.
Address: Øster Voldgade 4A, 1350 Copenhagen
A vintage store clean and dainty. Single pieces in different sizes. And aesthetic place to peek though.
Address: Peder Hvitfeldts Stræde 4, 1173 Copenhagen
A place we visit every time we’re in the city. Whether you want to sit down at the bar counter and enjoy or take away, they have a great variety of sushi. Fascinating watching the chefs work – in a way artistic.
Address: Rømersgade 18, Stade G10, Torvehallerne
I feel like this city has just about anything you need in a city. The Hotel, the Lakes, parks and people makes it so.
