Up to the mountains we go

As a kid I always used to bring a snack and a thermos in my backpack when I was out in nature – whether that was in the Norwegian mountains or camping in the woods. I’m still like that and this trip was no different.

You will find different snippets of our mountain trip right here:

It’s important for me to do what I can to better our surroundings. It can be done in so many ways. Use reusable bags to carry your groceries instead of plastic bags, bike or walk to school and work. In this case switch out your plastic water bottle that you bought at the super market with one made out of steal. It lasts way longer and is good for the environment and you. You can of course refill the bottle that you already have instead of buying a new one – that is one way of doing it.

I teamed up with Beeorganic and was very kindly sent two of their products to test out. Tea and a fruit mix is what I brought with me on our ski trip last weekend and found myself really liking the thermos’. The simplicity of the products really makes me want to use them as much as I can.

BeeOrganic AS is a green online store, with strong focus on ecology, sustainability and fair trade. They have a lot of what you need to take a step towards a more environmentally friendly and chemical-free life, with less plastic and less artificial substances.

They offer great alternatives to plastic bottles and plastic food boxes – their wide selection in lunchboxes and drink bottles in glass and stainless steel are really worth a look. They also have a wide range of organic cotton products for kitchen and bathroom.

Klean Kanteen Reflect 532 brushed stainless (left) is made out of sustainable bamboo and stainless steel. It holds 532 ml liquid.

Klean Kanteen wide isolated thermos / drinking bottle (right) is made out of stainless steal, Shale Black. It holds 355 ml liquid and will not spill out and into your backpack or purse. It keeps warm drinks warm for up to 6 hours and cold drinks up to 24 hours.

So next time you’re out and about doing your thing. Think of what you can do to help. It doesn’t have to be anything major – if you don’t want it to. And now that spring and summer is right around the corner, why not bring your beverages in one like these – I will for sure do so.

If you have any recommendations on anything related to environmental care. Feel free to share it with me.

Hope you’re having a wonderful day!

  1. The more research I do, the more I realize the impact all the little things have! I’m in the process of becoming more sustainable, and glass and steel are both a part of the solution. Love theese bottles! 😀 So pretty and practical.
