Breakfast in Copenhagen

This post is written by my sister who last week stayed in beautiful Copenhagen for three days. Here’s her favorite spots to stop for a restful break.

BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Big Apple
This little café right next to Kongens Have is the place to go for a refreshing juice or/and a tasty and healthy sandwich. Big Apple quickly became our go-to breakfast place.

Café Norden
Although in the middle of one of the busiest streets in Copenhagen, you have to pay a visit to Café Norden. We walked by several times throughout our trip, drooling over the massive plates of food, so on our last day we decided to try one for ourselves. It was nothing less than a heavenly delight.

42 Raw
One for the hipsters. Acai bowls, matcha lattes and vegan burgers. Everything is 100 % plantbased, and they focus on healthy and organic ingredients.
Pilestræde 32, 1112 København

Ristorante Italiano
For our first dinner in the city we decided we wanted Italian. We ordered one serrano pizza each and enjoyed it with a cooling strawberry daiquiri out in the afternoon heat. Just looking at the picture below makes me hungry..

DESSERT
Holms Bager
We were in need of a quick energi booster and wanted something sweet, so we stopped by Holms Bager to get our needs satisfied – and we were not disappointed. If you love baked goods, I would highly recommend you stop by to get a treat in between the shopping. You’ll need it.
Østergade 52, København 1100

Serenity Cupcakes
The same thing goes for this little cupcake shop. Mmm…
Grønnegade 32, 1107 København

Vaffelbageren
High up on my to-do list for Copenhagen was to eat ice-cream, a lot of ice-cream. Sadly, time flew by too fast to consume more than a few, but Vaffelbageren made up for it. Vaffelbageren make their own waffles, both Belgian and ice-cream cones, and you can top the ice-cream with “guff” or “flødebolle” – preferably both.
Nyhavn 49, 1051 København K
Magnum Pleasure Store Copenhagen
If you’re visiting Copenhagen within the next couple of weeks, you might be lucky enough to find this Magnum pop-up store to still be open. Choose the chocolate, toppings and drizzles to create your very own Magnum ice-cream. A treat for both the eyes and mouth. I am very sorry to everyone who misses out of this pleasure.

Enjoy!
